Downloading now, what are your first impressions?

I am really excited for this game and I am wondering what peoples first impressions of it are and if they have any tips for a newb. Thanks in advance.

I'm loving it, the polish thats gone into this game is stunning, the game menu's and user interface is top notch. The intro movie gives some nice detail into the story behind the game and the gameplay itself is totally different to what i've played before, IC have raised the bar with this one. Multi-player is fantastic i've not yet seen any underhand tactics being used.

My favourite ship so far has to be the Advent battleship it's just awesome.

i haven't played yet, waiting for the forge tools, i gotta tinker first, play second. But the few times i just checked out a few mins of gameplay gotta say the advent are my fav race so far.

I know one of the reasons its only about 1 gig. The intro movie is great, but its done in a quasi story board manner. Technically it FMV but really its not. Still gets the point across. Great job. You have no idea how let down I was by the amazing intro to WoW only to find out the games graphics were outdated even back in 2004 when it was released.

Not that great for me at the moment , the odd frame rate dive and tutorial bugs read my tech post :)
