First Impressions

Ok, when i say "first impressions" i mean my initial Sins experience from purchasing the product, through installation and basic set-up...

I am speechless!!!

SDC is amazing little tool!

Downloading the full game was simple and quick!

Installation went without any problems!

Game support my native MacBook Pros res of 1440 x 900!

It runs on ALL HIGH on MacBooks Pro built in 8600GT 256Mb!

Intro movie was great with bit corny yet rather cool voice over!

Great art work!

Interface is simply speaking FREAKN AMAZING!!!!

Extremly easy to use and straight forward!

So far you guys get 10/10 score :)

Will come back in few days time with gameplay impressions...

hehehe

just got in so to speak and had to post "first impressions" since, you know, i think they are rather important... i cant remember how many games i simply binned in my life simply because they wouldn't install, or run, or would crash, or would simply suck from a word go...

Sins are THE OPPOSITE and carry every single mark of AAA standard and polish!

Awesome start in any case :)

Shame i am really tied up with work today and tomorrow but will be diving into the game asap and am looking forward to meet all of you online soon!

eeeeeeeeeee

Just break one of your legs. That way you'll still be able to play Sins, but won't have to go to work

It is nice to hear Nephilim. Now get the rest of your clan involved! So we can have some clans wars soon!

A few of us are already here... Uruk, Neph and Myself :)

More have expressed interest, clan wars would be good, but since we are complete Naabs and will be lambs to the slaughter, I suggest some friendly's first before we go full on matches :)

anyone up for a few friendly games :)

Had an awesome first multiplay game of retail last night w/ GamerAndy and the others who joined up for his 10 man FFA.

A few hiccups -- lost a couple folks along the way, but even for having to reload the game several times we had a great time.

If there were /any/ feature I would request it would be the following. PLEASE find a way to let people rejoin a game in progress; even if it means a little pause for the players while the rejoining person gets the save game and in sync.
Barring that, make the save game a p2p autodownload from the host to people rejoining; we had to start transferring save games via msn to people who were missing the saves because of a crash etc.

If either of the two above is added ( preferably the first one, even if it would be technically more difficult ), then multiplayer just becomes nearly perfect.

End of quote

I think autosaves were meant to be used in crashes ;) They save every 10 minutes.

Perhaps -- still somewhat more frustrating to go back 9.5 minutes because you didn't make it to the next save, in particular if an important battle has gone down, a surprise attack.. etc. We would just fire up a manual save when the guy dropped and then pass that along so no gameplay was lost.
