First thoughts after about 45 mins

The game was very well done. I'm deeply hate playing most rts games online due to the fact that you can mass rush some one with one type of troop. C&C was horrible with this as to where ive never played it online. I'm glad to see some company has enough balls to make a good rts that you can't finish in 10 minutes by building the cheapest ships/troops possible and rushing some one. After i played for about 30 minutes i tried different strategies that I have before by trying to take as much land as I possibly could and thats not something you can do which is awesome i came to find myself broke after taking a volcanic planet and a ice planet due to the fact that my taxes were costing me money to have them. I love the game its well setup so that it actually takes thought into what your doing and its not just another mindless rts game like everything else. I wish i didn't have to go to work so I could of stayed home and learned more of the tech tree and such. I do have 2 question can u raise your taxes and whee can i download the pdf manual/tech tree Thanks Great game.

You can't raise your taxes - it's controlled indirectly by building new cities on your planets (and via researching on the tech tree). The PDF manual is in the game's installation directory. ;)

thanks for the info i was kinda shooting in the dark last night. I didn't bother reading crap I didn't get it installed until 9 p.m. and played for a bit I didn't want to waste any time reading i just wanted to try it out.

Yarlen was talking more lore-wise :P can't really increase population without building new cities (and note the pop upgrade is actually infrastructure upgrade, ie cities)

I cant wait to really have a chance this weekend to sit down and be able to play for a period of time. I was pretty clueless about what i needed to to starting off other then what i know about every other RTS. I have to say this game is one of the best for the type of game it is for something thats in depth and takes a while to play this game takes the cake. I like how it takes a while to do every thing its not a game that you can push a button and win in 5 minutes. I keep seeing people say something is wrong with the game its so slow. Heh its suppose to be if you don't like it go play C&C3 this game is meant to be a long game. I think being able to save a multiplayer game and pick up next weekend is the sh*t. That is something that has never really been done to my knowledge could be wrong. Best rts online game i ever played was AoE. That game could go fast or slow but it took skill. Wow talk about rambling.
