Where is Story mode?

There is no story campaign (this was known for quite a while before release).

Ironclad wanted to focus on perfecting Sins as a big giant sandbox, but they do have plans for story-telling, so it will likely appear in an expansion

No there is no story mode they wanted to perfect the skirmish/multiplayer portion first

Don't see the point of the intro though personally , makes it feel like a story is going to happen...

It will probably be downloadable with some future update.

Better they deliver for the expansion a good story/Campaign, than a sucky one just to have one for V1.0, im ok with that, and yes i like campaigns and storys in Games of course.

The intro is just to get you into the mood for the Game i guess, and every Game should have some sort of a intro, even there is no Campaign.

Good Example is SupCom. I wouldn't call that a good story. *g*

Sidenote, i don't know how big IC is, but i guess they just don't have the Manpower(unless they release the game in 2009 or later) as other Companys with a really big publisher in the back.

I don't think they would wait for an expension to introduce a campaign. If we're lucky, they will include it via patch before that.

Yarlen posted in another thread that any campaign will be for an expansion, not any free content update.

I have yet to pick up a copy of the game due to it being sold out. No worries about a story right now for this game, its better the way Stardock and Ironclad made the game. Focus on the parts that other games are weak at. In time there will be a story I know it.

I think we're going to read that question a lot.

So they take 1 game and split it into two and want people to pay for both parts? lol

Or you could just be happy with a great MP sandbox game.
