How do you capture extractors?

In the non-colonizable asteroid belts... there are extractors on the asteroids that say "Can be captured" but I can't seem to find a way to capture them.

Check your scouts! (Or the colony ship if you're Advent). They have an ability to capture those suckers :)

yeah, set those scouts to capture (or auto-capture). the icon is in the bottom right hand corner of the screen, along with the scout's attack and move (and other) commands.

another thought: don't forget that those extractors aren't yours to keep -- other factions can come in and capture them for themselves! you may want to keep a fleet there to guard them, if it's strategic to do so.  :)

I have just about gone mad my first two games trying to capture one of these...especially since in some fields I DID capture one or two but not all of them, and when I finally gained control of the fields with an armada, I couldn't for the life of me figure out how the heck to cap the rest...
