WHat are the Win Conditions?

So I can't find it in the manual or anywhere else. What are the win conditions/elimination conditions for the game?

Are there multiple win conditions like a 4x game? Or do you just have to use military to eliminate everyone. People are elminated when all their ships are destroyed? All there planets are destroyed? Just capitol is destroyed?


Am i missing something? It seems like this really ought to be clearer than it is.

The victory condition is the destruction of all enemy colonies (ships/structures not relevant). It's definitely more military focused than 4x games, but there are diplomatic (allied) victories, and you can use culture to snip planets away from the enemy (though not to your side right away).

I think it's worth pointing out that this information is nowhere in the game or the manual. Or if it is it's not displayed in a useful place. After I detailed scour I didn't find it anywhere.
