Mouse cursor invisible in-game

I'm having the problem where the mouse cursor doesn't visually show up in the game but by moving the mouse around I can eventually find/highlight and click the buttons that I want. I know this was a problem a while ago but I never read if there was a solution for this. As a result I'm not sure what to do now.

Usually this sort of issue is caused by outdated video drivers--try updating them to the latest available from your video card's manufacturer.

I'm not sure if this will fix your problem but if you go to Options then Video try selecting Use System Cursor I believe this is the sort of problem that option fixes.
