I want to purchase Sins, but...

...I do not feel that I need the CE

Hey,
congratulations on your game launch, looks like Sins is being received pretty well by the gaming community in general. I have not found a single person whining about it being a bad game so far, which is pretty impressive, given the usual reactions people show at launch.

So, that aside, I want to purchase this game as a digital download. However, I could so far only find a buy link to the Collectors Edition. I want the standard edition, though. I'm a poor college student and buying my games is hard enough without paying premium. I probably would not mind if I had the money.


Soooo... could anyone please clear up wether I can get a (cheaper) standard edition in its download only version?

its made that way becose stardock has problems with "box" publishers and they are forced to make digital more expensive . They are also making up for it by turning it into digital CE by only 5$ more than standard edition in box

That link takes me directly to the CE, with the difference being wether one wants a boxed version, too.

However, while I was waiting for replies, I decided to check out the actual differences between standard and ce. Turns out that they already mentioned that the CE is the only possible Direct Download purchase. That's pretty unfortunate, as I will have to reconsider my purchase. Paying more for a digital ce than someone who gets the standard retail version (not an option for me, unfortunately) seems strange - and as I already mentioned, money IS an issue for me.

Should there be any way to get my hands on a digital standard version at a standard price, I'd still love to hear about it.
