Cycle Through Planets/Fleets/Factories?

Is there a way to cycle through my Planets?
Or my Fleets, or My factories?

Hotkeys to cycle through these itmes would be very helpful. This way I could move around my empire without having to click so many times.

Is this in the game somewhere? Is it planned? It seems essential to efficient RTSing on this scale.

You can set the typical Ctrl-1 Ctrl-2 designations to fleets...

You can cycle through any selected group with tab and shift-tab, and you can select various groups on the "search" tab above the empire tree. The hotkeys for those search groups are visible in key bindings under the options UI.

Are there groups you need that aren't there?

Yah. I guess I could just hotkey every single planet and every single fleet...

But it'de be nice if there were buttons... say ctrl-tab or something that I could use to just cycle through them, especially planets.

EDIT: Tabbing through subselections! Forgot about that. That combined with the search functionality... Brilliant. IC I owe you an apology, certain aspects of this interface are BRILLIANT!

Not sure if this helps, but I was trying to "pin" the production facilities to the UI tree last night but it was not working. I then realized that it is not necessary because if you simply click the planet/gravity well icon in which the production facility is located, the "smart" UI at the bottom of the screen changes to allow you to select ships to produce. Of course, this requires you to remember where you placed those facilities...

Yes, but if you use the search command to search say: factories, then you can tab-cycle through your planets that have factories.
