The game is great but

Fleet supply should be greater

I think this game is awsome but i would like that the return the ability to increate the fleet supplies by colonazing and upgrading planets, so is a player is playing lets say in a galaxy with 10000 planets he would have sufficient ships to defended his planets and sufficient fleets to attack. Also it would be awsome is they removed the capship, cap because only 16 in a 10000 planet galaxy is imposible, also only having 200 frigates when playing in 10000 planets galaxy is imposible to defend all those planets with such small quantity of ships.Beacuse lest be real the point of having planets is to increase economy and increase fleet cap.

Maybe it could be that the thechs for increasing fleet size would just increase the number of ships that each planet would allow for.

Haha, I can't imagine how long a 10,000 planet game would take.

I agree with you though; there should be an option to either increase or remove the limit on numbers of capships and regular vessels.

Somebody will undoubtedly create a mod like this, if there isn't already one out there.

I too hope theres is a ajustable way to change the pop cap without haveing to mod (though I will if I have to) as maps 100 planets plus are simply unplayable. As some body else stated have the pop cap scale to the size of the map. Franky if somebody's computer too crap to handle more than 300 ships then it propably t crap to handle the large maps so increaseing the pop count for the larger maps wont hurt anybody.

I haven't played anything other than a few 1v1 games on smaller maps, but I can definitely see where this would be a problem and get out of hand. The last game I played was on a 4 system map (Derelect, I think it's called) and I already felt as if my defense was getting stretched thin a little... I had to cover the point of entry on my front line system, a wormhole, and two stars just to make sure I didn't find raiding parties jumping around my empire... I can imagine how it'd just get way out of hand in bigger maps, primarily because of the ability to jump from star to star... I repeatedly had huge AI fleets bypass my entire defensive network to strike at my homeworld via star to star jumps... To be honest it took me quite a while just to figure out where they were coming from.

Anyway, I was able to fight back once I did, but I can't imagine how tough it'd be on medium, large, or huge maps to cover systems when all an enemy has to do is jump from star to start to bypass your defensive network... definitely annoying and I think it calls for either an increase in pop cap or a new pop system altogether... A scalable system as suggested above (according to how many planets you've colonized) seems to be a good idea.

I find the lack of ship-scaling to be a massive oversight on the part of the developers. It was the primary reason I stopped playing Hegemonia a few years back. Games just turn into stalemates... it can suck :/

My recommendation is to add an option into the game-type. Fleet Support Low, Medium, High, Extreme!

Or maybe they could linked with the economy like in galciv or sword of the stars, the more powerfull your economy is the more ships you can have.
