Launcher Crashes

Well, I'm getting on odd one... When I put in the disk or use the start menu link I get a windows error telling me that the launcher needs to close, reporting some kind of exception. Everything was fine when I installed by running the setup directly, and the game is fine if I run the .exe directly, but the launcher just won't run.

Anyway, I'm running XP SP2 with a gig of ram and a GeForce 6800.
