LAN Play - Multiple Players - Same Key?

Hi!

We're planning a small LAN-Party in the next view days, and i bought the game yesterday!
GREAT isn*t the right word :)) and so i wanted to ask?
We're about 6 people and we're always searching for games, which support LAN playin' with the same key!
Is this game one of those? (great LAN rockers ;D)

Thanks a lot,
greetings,
crazyV

I may be corrected (going to try LAN tomorrow), but my understanding is that it allows two players in a LAN per key.

Note that if you buy it online through Stardock it sends you the key straight away by email.

Hope that helps.

Pretty sure it doesn't even ask you for a key at all, unless you register on ICO.

The key only matters for online play, so LANS can have as many people as you want all using the same copy of the game.

i still doubt stardock would look favorably on someone installing there game on a bunch of friends computers which obviously means loss of sales and its pretty much piracy imo.

please dont take advantage of stardocks good nature of them not using copy protection for single player and lan games. i feel its worth the money and i would hope you and your friends do to

afaik one serial is good for 2 players in the same LAN game.

So if you guys have 6 players , then you only need 3 copies of the game to have a 6 way.

I don't think it's piracy. First, Stardock has chosen to not protect their CD you know why? Because they have awesome MUST-HAVE great content in multiple updates that requires your key to get. No key, no update.

Fine you have the core game, but I more feel it's publicity for Sins to have a LAN party and installing the core game to 6 friends just to try out the game. I usually never buy a game that I didn't try before (so much crap out there), except maybe with Stardock, Valve and Bioware, so to have a LAN party of Sins would definitly sells for me. But to have 1 key for two computers in a LAN, that's the best solution I think.

Unfortunately the manual specifically states that LAN play allows for only up to two machines using the same serial number.
