First Tutorial Doesn't Seem to be Working

"If it's out there, I'll find it..." Then I get attacked???

The first tutorial doesn't seem to work. I just hear an old guy's voice saying "If it's out there, I'll find it." Then enemy ships come and attack my planet. There's no tutorial explanations for anything going on. Please explain.

Seems the digital download version (version 1.01) had a bug for some people, it will be fixed in the 1.02 patch.

Playing a game without doing the tutorial would break my cardinal rule that I don't play a game until I am thorougly familiar with all the rules. I am a "game lawyer."

My tutorial didn't work the first time but it did on the second try. Kinda strange. I didn't change any settings.

I had the exact same problem and solved it by personalizing my player info. Try it and let us know if that solves your problem too.

Just try starting the tutorial again, it worked for me. Theres probably some trigger that starts it and sometimes it just gets skipped or something.

Did you change the resolution from 1024x768? If so, reset it to the default 1024x768 resolution and try the Tutorials again - worked for me.

If you haven't changed the resolution, try rebooting the PC and restarting the game - some people seem to have had some luck, but it can take several tries.
