Sorry to reference homeworld 2, but its bound to happen..

Homeworld 2 had a feature where when you zoomed out, ship models would scale up somewhat proportionately.

Right now I feel like I am looking at a bunch of icons when I zoom out enough to see enough of the planet/battlefield. I always remember feeling so much more involved in homeworld 2 battles because I could actually see the ships as I ordered them around instead of the icons.

I realise you can turn the icons off, but then you're just looking at a bunch of blobs.

I think it would be cool if this zoom-scaling ships was implemented in some form, or turned up if it is already? Of course you can always have an option in the effects menu to turn it off

Any thoughts, flames, instructions to shut the hell up?
