Increased Lethality?

Damage in this game seems a bit low, with it taking a couple minutes for a mothership to take down a flak frigate, any way to increase the damage a bit? Overall I'd say that bombers need the biggest boost, because fighters easily outdo bombers in damage at this point.

I like the game as is, its allows for reinforcements to arrive in, and also gives you time to micor manage abilities.

You sure fighters out do damage then bombers?

Depends on the target type.

For instance, the TEC long range frigate has the 'very light' armor type, which fighters do huge damage to. >.>

Or at least they did in beta 4.

Thus far I'm quite happy with the speed of the battles. I like a slow pace though, and there are a few things I would rather see slowed down than sped up (like time to bombard a planet). I can see why clickfest fans might find it too slow though :p

I like the game the way it is. Im sick of units in RTS and other games being just total throw aways once they are im combat, not lasting more then a second or two at beast.

This non-caring, meat grinder type ACTION stuff never really belonged in strat games in the first place, but somehow has become the norm. Tanks in C&C 3 dont even last more then a second or two under focused fire.

Its nice to see a change of pace, back to long lasting units that actually get to sometimes see more then one battle.

Plus this game requires a higher amount of micromanagement then normal RTS games, so the slower pace is to give time for the player to keep up. And actually you know...use that thing long forgotten...that thing called battle strategy......modern RTS games seem to have gotten the idea that battle strategy is MORE THEN just telling your units to focus fire and maybe using some unit unique skills now and then. In this game you can actually maneuver your units, bring in reinforcements, run skirmishes, and tons of other things that have gotten lost in the recent real time ACTION games.

I'm not saying throwaway just something that fits the weapon effects better
