quick question about lan use

I know you can use one registered copy of the game for LAN use. That is what my brother and I are going to do. I have the game and have it updated to latest patch. My question is: When I install the game on his computer, exactly how do I go about patching the game?

You can download the patch straight from here:

You can actually install the game with serial number on any PC you want (as long as you don't do it a million times in the span of a week; then you'll probably get noticed). That's the beauty of it - no copy protection on installing or playing. But if you both try to play over the Internet at the same time, it will not allow you to under the same serial.

thanks for the info. I've had galciv 2 since it came out and think stardock is about the best publishing company out there. Of course galciv has no multiplay so this never came up before. Once again thanks
