Incorect research icons?

Hi

Bought game yesterday, and can't stop playing.

I don't know if it wasn't mentioned before, I noticed that in TEC research window "Civilian" tab has gauss gun image, and "Military" some sort of buiding. Schouldn't it be reversed?

I was suprised that there are only 3 races, which is pretty small for a 4x game.

I don't know if it's just me but vasari voice style sounds like they were bunch of pirates not an ancient evil race.

I thing that races could slightly differ from each other as well.

Cheers

It's not exactly like any other RTS. Well, Hegemonia was something close, but still far :).

RTS games tend to have more races, (Down of War for exaple has 9), and 4x games usually have more. Would be nice to see some robotic or insect/hive, or a harvester race :).

Sorry I don't exactly know how to upload screenshot here.

Cheers

Dawn of War started with 4, the rest were added with expansions. 3 seems to be a pretty standard number for RTS games.

4x games..usually have race customization and universal research trees. I'll admit I miss designing my own race, but at least the races here have different units and research.

Actually the norm is 3. Blizzard kinda set that standard with starcraft.

Warhammer doesnt count as a Typical RTS because its not a typical RTS. Plus all their expansions involve adding a new race or 2 from the tabletop game. origionally it was the orcs, eldar, space marines and chaos space marines, 4.

Dawn of War had 4 races. (Space Marines, Eldar, Orks, and Chaos Space Marines) It's first expansion, Winter Assault, added one (Imperial Guard). It's second expansion added two more (Necron and Tau), and its third and final expansion will add two more (Sisters of Battle and Dark Eldar). This is not the norm for RTS games as most RTS do not recieve three expansions.

The average number of races in most recent RTS games tends to be 3. Which is normally hard enough to balance while providing races that play differently.

Game - Number of faction/races(+expansion races)
Command & Conquer 3 - 3
Supreme Commander - 3(+1)
Universe at War - 3
Warcraft 3 - 4
Company of Heroes - 2(+2)
Starcraft II - 3 (unless Bliz is hiding another race on us)

Sorry for rambling... My point, 3 races is an excellent start for a RTS. Although Sins for me is a RT4X, and 3 races work great for a game that sets a new genre of play. Anyway I have to say that I am extremely impress with Stardock and Ironclad Games, and (what little I have gotten to play, stupid work) really looking forward to the furture of this game and its community.

*edit - Hmm, seems I was beaten to the punch twice while typing this reply out. Curse you poor typing skills (and latex gloves).
