Information available 'at a glance'?

Is there a way, either a screen or key, that will enable you to see your empire at a glance? Meaning, a breakdown of how many military labs you've built (and where), how many civi labs (and where), how many trade ports (and where), etc...?

I am not aware of any functionality such as this.

the # of civil and military research centers should be displayed right on the screen at all times... somewhere out of the way but always visible... i hear it was like this is beta but was removed for some reason.

the way i compensate for this right now is by going into the tech tree and mousing over some of the later techs... when you see a red "Requires 4 military labs" you know you don't have 4 ... then if its not red for "Requires 3 military labs" you know you have 3 ...
