Demo?

Ok, I know this probably has been asked but its a good question. Is there or will there be a demo of this game? Frankly the reason I ask is that I just got BURNED on $50 for Moo3 and dont want to get burned again. I was hoping for moo2.5 but got something WAY differnt. Perhaps not bad, but NOT enjoayble for me. So... A demo might help people like me who want a 4x game but are a bit nervous after the whole MOO3 problem.

I hope to see a demo. But sometimes games are programmed in such a way that it'd be far too easy to turn a demo into the full game. Especially customizable games.

There will be a demo a few weeks after release.

Moo3 suckz (well, havent played it but readed rewiews). And i would like to see demo of this game because it looks good from what ive seen but you can never be too sure. Does this game support "hotseat" multiplayer?

Aaaaaaaaah :sniff!: Not that sort of question, again.

ZeroGreat: the game does not now, nor will it ever support multiplayer of any variety. It *might* support it in a full blown sequel, but the game was conceived and developed to be SP only.

"I was hoping for moo2.5 but got something WAY differnt."

Why were you expecting that? The whole time Moo3 was in development it was advertised as Moo3 NOT Moo2.

Indeed, I am also getting a little weirded out by the waiting. I hate to be a whiner, but no demo = me no buy game. Very simple math, don't you think? What's the story, guys?

I would like to add my voice to those asking for a demo. This looks like exactly the sort of game I would love. However, I'm uncertain whether it will work on my computer, which is over five years old now. So I'm not handing over any money unless I get to test the game out. Until then, I replay Civ 3 and keep my money. :notsure:

Demo bits have been popping up in the English.str file over the last 3 releases so I would say they are well on the way to releasing it. :D

"[DemoOver] You know how they say space and time are infinite? Not in this demo. You've managed to survive this long. Perhaps if you had the full version, you might have brought the human race to dominate the entire galaxy. So, are you going to go through the rest of your life wondering what might have been, or are you going to get the full version and find out? "

I love the Stardock-ian sense of humor! LOL

I can tell all MOO players this game will not let you down at all. I bought Moo3 on advice from other moo2 players. I was horribly disappointed by it big time.

Galactic civilizations is the best game I have played in many years. Moo players and civ series players will love this game for sure. A demo would be cool but give it a chance and you will be loving it just as much as I do. This is one of the most addictive games I have played to date. IMHO :d :D

Well im not a moo2 or a civ plyr, well i did play civ call to power one, but that was it, im usually an rts plyr, but wanted a change and this looked like the best tbs that has come out in a while. I just want to be sure and wait for the demo, which better come out >:(
or i may get sad and just continue on the rts genre (:(

Great news Frogboy I will tell my friends who are wondering about demo before buy. These are some who do not like TBS normally but love great strategy games. You guys made one of the best IMHO especially the AI are superb at higher levels. :d
