X3 universe

I am so happy that someone has suggested this, for I was just thinking of creating a post about this yesterday. A 3-Dimensional X3 universe would be perfect for this game, especially if the models from the Xtended Mod could be incorporated (http://www.thexuniverse.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2721).

I just hope that a way can be figured out how to include more ship types into the game. It would also be nice if the diplomacy could be enhanced a little bit so that it was a more useful tool instead of just being pushed around by the AI. Also shame that the game's only victory condition is by elimination, an Economic victory condition with more ehanced tactics placed upon trade would be awesome, but we can only hope that this might be developed someday in a patch (dev's awesome game, but please note this...)

Currently, we can make the universe map as a single system, have pirates, and have the six X races be represented by the three Sins races, but it could be so much more!

x3 xtended for SOASE would be cool indeed it has nice space skyboxes and ships and lots of planets.. i replaced Sins music files(sounded like a 14 year old on a CASIO
organ to me) with X3 reunion tunes wich are more Epic sounding..I am now in the process of changing the weapons sounds wich are lacking punch..hope sombody will be
inspired to do a X3 mod..

I imported an X3 model straight into SoaSE beta4 last year as a test for hi-poly models in game. It worked pretty well..

I'm not sure how SoaSE will handle a model for model swap with the X3 races, thats quite a lot of processing power you're playing with there I hope you have a fast PC   You are probably going to have to scale things down somewhat.

I believe there is a full blown X3 universe mod currently being planned.
