A small idea for the next patch...

Something in other RTS games that I really liked was the ability to have an icon displayed when a worker was inactive. Would there be any way to add this in to the sidebar for each planet? I would like to be able to go directly to a worker that is NOT currently building something at planet A, make him do something, then hop back to a worker that's not doing anything at planet B.

Is this feasible? Maybe even already in place and I just missed it? I think it would make micro-managing (for those of us that enjoy it) just a shred easier.

I'm not sure how that's necessary - you can build everything you need from clicking the planet, you don't even need to select any construction ships. Every building is put in a queue and gets built when there is a construction ship free :P

If you're manually clicking your construction frigates and telling them to go build something, you're doing it wrong.

There's no functional use for this at the moment, with 20 planets and 40 workers, you're not going to want to be building something on every planet at all times and the queue system for building is nice enough as is - though one thing I'd like to see is how many logistic slots a planet has available at a glance.

Yea that feature would hinder the interface I think. The way Sins works its already easy enough to zoom out, click on all your planets and assign work orders. I do agree with the logistic slots and tactical slots. Sometimes I want to build a science lab but right now Im having to click on every planet to see if there is a slot. Instead of being able to see in a glance this planet has a slot and it wont need a costly upgrade first.

You also can't move construction ships from planet to planet. Each planet spawns a worker, and you get more by upgrading the infrastructure (logistic or tactical).

Nope you were right, logistic and tactical upgrades give you extra construction ships.
