Well, when females fail to meet a certain standard after say over a hundred years, it seems to point towards it being a male job. But I suppose when we do get a genetic freak of a woman who can meet those standards it won't be a male job.

I dont think you can ban a person for having different view from your own. Thats what makes us human, to have our own views on what is and is not.

Personally, I dont really care that Advent are mostly woman. In the context of the game, the lore describes why that is. In real life though, Woman can do just about everything a man can do. If they are good at the job, why should one care about their gender?

Alright, i'm going to try to settle this in one pass. Guys, you should like that it's an all female military because then you get stay home and slowly break your pelvis because of the "workout" all the woman have you do. Gals, this puts you in a position of power over men so rather than arguing with him, just say "fine, work the psi operated TV remote by yourself." For the record I am a man, and I really don't care that the advent military is all female because i don't play as teh advent because i don't like their overarching strategy.

Seriously though, I don't think the Vasari are male. Given their Fleet support line, not to mention their focus on nanotechnology, it looks like they probably manipulated their geonome so that they are completely different from the origional survivors. I don't think they have a gender anymore. They keep the male voices because 1) It is considered default, 2) Sounds creepier, 3) This is fiction- what makes you think aliens are also going to have auditory differences between the sexes?

I also think the all male and all female voices was meant to make the two groups seem different and eliminate a little bit of the moral certainty of the TEC (I imagine the Vasari are getting converts with nanotechnology and medicine- live to 150!)- after all the TEC are the default good guys and anything that makes the other groups more human increases the number of people interested. People don't like playing as evil villians- well... most people.
