Camera control and game speed.

Maybe some of you would know this. When I'm trying to do fine work with my mouse, selecting multiple waypoint targets or building defense structures near each other, my camera always seems to lock onto some moving target and follows it. Is there anyway to turn off this sticky camera thing? If I want the camera to move, I'll move it.

Second is game speed. Is it just me or is it REALLY REALLY slow. I'm setting games on FAST and watching the resources tick per/second is slower than a second. Only once has this not been the case, in the middle of one game speed sped up very fast, I'd say resources were ticking up every 0.5 seconds. Is my install bugged? How fast is fast? I've not tried a game on slow to see if things are slower.. Which I'll do now, just thought I'd check to see your guys' thoughts.

Thanks.

Hmm... Okay I just checked a game on fast and slow and I see that the actual resources per second is different. 8.8 cred/sec on slow and 11.4 cred/sec on fast, normal was 10.something.

Then I looked at build times... Cap ship factory is 60 seconds on slow and 50 seconds on fast.

If I'm understanding things then, the game speed isn't just multiplied 1.25 for fast or 0.75 for slow (for instance). That seems like the simplest way of doing it... But many different variables are altered according to settings?

Strange. If anyone can eloquently explain game speed that would be awesome. And the camera question is still valid.
