Interesting to note, you hate the Civ and space strategy games you've played but you love Sins. I absolutely love Civilization, 4X space strategy titles, and Sins also kept me up waaaaaaaay too late on a Sunday night. I'm paying the price this morning!

I think that right there is a microcosm of how well Ironclad hit the nail on the head in bridging the two genres. Great job guys, get to work on an expansion so I can throw more money your way.

i have invented a new hangover, the videogame hangover. God im getting old.

Threads like this help keep my battered faith in humanity alive.

That said, for crying out loud, Ironclad, can the next patch please have some sort of feature to automatically save and quit at a designated time? I have enough problems without Sins eating up my free time.

Well, I guess I'm glad I didn't start playing at 11:30 PM when I had to be up at 7:00 AM. It would've been a long night, and made today even longer.

This game actually revive my gaming days. XD

I used to play all nights of Call of Duty back in the day. And now we have Sins. X_X Such a great and epic game. I love those 5v5s XD.

Yesterday I had to forcefully remove myself from the computer to witness at least the last two hours of three days of the best weather we've had for months. And what did I get for my efforts? A f****ing cold. :p
But after a whole week of staying up late with Sins and cursing the alarm clock in the morning it felt good - somehow.

I stayed up late last night playing Sins as well. My wife was wondering what I was planning on doing today, since it was late and she was going to bed with out me. :P I ended up saving me game just when it was getting good too. Man, I am tired today. I can't wait to get home so I can take a nap and resume my game. :)

I suspect that your cold has much more to do with staying up late playing Sins for a week than it does going outside for two hours. Lack of sleep can play hell with one's immune system.

GASP! You dare blame his cold on Sins of a Solar empire? you shall feel our colective wrath! :P

Technically, I'm blaming his cold on his weak will allowing him to stay up so late playing. While many of us here are posting in good humor about Sins taking up our time (including the poster to whom I responded), there are many out there that would "blame the game" and not take personal responsibility for their own choices and lifestyle, whether that be drinking to excess or playing a game to excess.

Again, I think everyone here is posting in good fun, but I think it's worth pointing out that not everyone does so.

All that said, I've spent more time with Sins since the middle of last week than I have with any game in a long time.

Yeah, well, your secondary plan to cause "one-computer" divorces is also working. I heard of a couple the other day thats breaking up because their fighting over who gets to play sins at what time! (Well... not really, but its funny 'cause you know its happening :D )

yeah i was joking, but you are right on the money, as a side note i think the flow factor for Sins is VERY high.

I was talking to my brother the other day on the phone who lives out of state and he said that his wife HATES Sins! The reason, he won't stop playing it! lol Seems like this is going to be a trend here. lol

IC and SD should update the box and put a relationship breaker warning on the box. Maybe have a rating system like the ESRB, but show a heart that has a crack down the middle.

Yeah, this game has done a pretty good job of wrecking my already inconsistent sleep patterns.

lol! I have experienced problems with my ex when it came to playing games after a hard day of work. Knowing that her mother left her father for playing to much games (he was alos a big fan of strategy games, I heard ^^), I fear we might have a new "sinner" to torment our free soul, no matter how thoughtfull we are. ;p

Hear this true story of mine...

One day (yes 1) before Sins was released i moved in with my girlfriend - yes - all the way from London to Berlin just to live with my dearest beloved...

And then what happens...

As soon as i unpacked - Sins came out!

>_<

You should be including in manual how to deal with such awkward situations!

heh i have a knack for dating women who actually ENCOURAGE my gaming, i had one who would actually buy every game i even had a passing interest in, of course she worked from 7am to 3am everyday (she owned a restaurant) so it was more like hush money, but i digress.

Yea i hate it too, bought the game last week, downloaded it,thought i'd try it out for 10 mins before bed, next thing i knew it was 5am ffs.Work sucked that day. (:(

At least i learned a valuable lesson, dont start a game of sins after 9pm!

A past favorite of mine, Dungeon Keeper 2, would every hour after midnight send you a reminder that your up late in some sarcastic way, and should probably goto sleep.

I think that was the only way I knew when to stop playing.

Maybe something for 1.4? ;)
