minimod request: fleet/capitol ship capacity

I'm sure someone has asked for this , but I have a mini mod request. Can we have one that increases the capitol ship max as well as fleet cap. The current cap does not work for maps with 6-8 stars and bigger. Thanks!! (also if enabling 2 mods at once is not possible, lets also have the PJI mod included in this one :))

Pretty easy to mod something with the same effect...

Download the mod package (in the modding forum) and edit the entity files for all ships.. reduce the logistics/tactical cost of every ship and building by 1/2 and you effectively allow all players to have twice the number of ships / buildings as before.

(i.e. rather than a capital ship costing 50, make it cost 25, etc)

yes there is, changing the tech entity files to increase the amount of cap they add.

You want those, as well as the 1-7 files for each. There's a seperate list of files for capital ships.

also with what type of program do i open an .entity file just normal teksteditor or do i need some special program?

I created my own version of this, but I have an issue with it. The cap for the total ships says the right number in the research area, but in the main interface after I researched it, the number won't go over 2000. The number will go down to -500 or so, but after that, nothing, I can't build any more ships. I changed it so with all upgrades researched, the total is 8000. Any idea what is causing this?

No Prob, Glad you enjoy it.
Unit Caps have always been my biggest complaint with Strategy Games.

If there are any changes you want, give me a shout, finding the correct things to change took most of the time, quick & easy to make more changes now.

Thanks Nibilaa, I didn't know about that. And Corfe, to my limited knowledge, to make the ships cheaper, you would have to modify the cost in each file. The file you pasted in your post looked like the first research for max ships. That could allow for more ships total, but not make them cheaper.

Hey um, when I goto that site it says "There are no skins to display." - may I please have this mod uploaded somewhere else for me to use? Because honestly I'm on a role with my empire, I own 1/5 of the galaxy (a entire star region and then some), but the I'm having to repell the entire AI combined fleets and even though I possess the most powerfully technologically researched ships of us all and leveled, I'm starting to lose some ground!
