No Campaign?

Where's the story?

I just got the game and hit the tutorials, then I go to New Game and start looking for the first mission.... but.... there's 20 missions and none of them say chapter 1! Where do I start!? Does this game have a narrative or is it just jump in and start playing?

Very confused, I was expecting something like Gal Civ II's story progression, but apparently I was wrong or am missing something.

There's no narrative story in Sins, it's a big giant sandbox ;)

I found the other posts after making this one. I trust Stardoc, I bought this game having heard almost nothing about it because of how much Gal Civ II made me giddily gleeful for almost a year.

Time to jump into a 1v1 on easy and scout out the research trees/units. See you in 6-8 hours. :-)

There's no campaign yet.

Now that the game is a proven success, they'll have plenty of time to introduce more goodies. That hopefully will include expanding the story besides the initial cinematic. Here's to hopefulness on sooner rather than later...
