Is there a way to make a system with two suns im try to make a map of the Seefra system from the show Andromeda.

Technically, as far as I know, each system can only have one star. However, since systems can overlap, you can just build the system with one star, create another star nearby, and drag it into the middle of the system so that it looks visually like a binary star. You'll only be able to build phase lanes to one of the stars, though.

This idea got me thinking. I'm looking into a way that might work. I'll post something if I get it working. No time to put into it today as it's Valentine's Day and I've got plans with my fiancé that I'm not about to break.

Depends on what exactly you want to do. If you're looking for 2 stars sharing the same grav well, that might be tricky and would be purely a visual effect. But two stars (with their own grav wells) are possible, and there's already a built in map that features 3 connected stars in the same system :P

hrmm. you know that A single star is really uncommon in the night sky(except for ancient old white dwarfs). as most start are binary ,triple,or even quadruple star systems.
i do hope they fix this as the nearest 20 or so stars 90% are multiple star systems.

I thought about this when i went to make A map of the nearest few stars and our solar system.

Now thats something I'd like to see.. I wonder how many of the nearest stars could be put into a map..?

It would be nice to re-create the battle of Wolf359 from ST Next Generation.. :)
