Sins gets an astounding 9.0 at Gamespot

Gamespot has weighed in on Sins of a Solar Empire. Reviewed by Jason Ocampo, one of the strategy genre's top reviewers as well as an expert in other genres, his review thoroughly walked through both the strengths of the game as well as elements of the game that gamers should be aware of (i.e. this ain't no 25 minute action RTS). You can see his other reviews here.

Bah, he rated both Crysis and World in Conflict as 9.5's.

World in Conflict was, and is, fantastic. You can't really expect less in an RTT from the makers of Ground Control. I don't know about Crysis though - haven't played it :P

No doubt. I posted a couple news threads the other day relating to reviews, interviews and ranking and none of them have been mentioned that I have seen.

World in Conflict was a very polished and complete RTS, it deserves a rating above SoaSE. While I still enjoy and will always load SoaSE over WiC I'd still stand by it needing more polish on the level of a triple A title like WiC before I'd say it deserves a near perfect score.

At least this way the Ironclad & Stardock team have something to shoot for with their next expansion or sequel.

How Crysis got a 9.5.. that I don't understand.

Crysis is great provided you've got the bells and whistles on, especially with multiplayer. Fun-fun-fun, however it doesn't have the same longevity. However, SoaSe does very well on it's own, let's just be happy about that. Crysis and SoaSe are different genres and in reality, games in their own genres are what should be compared.

World in Conflict was a good game, but most certainly not a 9.5. This game is much closer to that. And I'm with ShadowHal, I don't really trust gamespot much anymore, they've put down some really biased and crappy reviews lately. IGN isn't a whole lot better, but I stick with them now, though I find some of the best, most professional and un-biased reviews at sites like EuroGamer, 1UP, Action Trip, and GameDaily. But really, trust your own impression of the game. I'd give this a solid 9.3

I disagree - but since this is more a matter of opinion, I won't argue too much with you :P
