Registration Woes

I have spent the last two hours trying to register Sins so that I can update the game with the latest patch. I've entered the number with and without dashes and in lower and upper cases. I've also tried to do it from within my stardoc central account and from within the game itself. I'm get a message saying that either it is an invalid code or something does match my e-mail address. I frustrated beyond belief. All I want to do is register and enjoy what looks like a good game. Has anyone had the same experience.

I didn't have any issues... but then again, I bought direct from SD, which simplified the process.

I'm having the same exact problem and I've tried the same things you tried. I've emailed [email protected] and have a ticket open on the problem.

It's going on three days with no reply so hopefully tomorrow...

Same here, i spent an hour trying to register with different names/passwords and it never worked (got mine from Amazon). Later...by sheer luck...i remembered my old username/password from Gal Civ(1st one) and it went through...wtf?
Superb game btw, good luck guys:-)

I'm going through the same thing, problem is I bought the game with a different email address than the one my stardock account is linked to. I tried to correct the problem by switching the stardock email to the one I used for purchase, but that just made things even worse. If I try to register on stardock or the website, it won't let me.

I bought the digital DL w/a boxed copy to be shipped to my door. Very, very frustrating.

I'm having the same problem. I try to register in game but it says my Ironclad Online is wrong version so then I try to register the game through Stardock Central and it says the email that I entered does not match their records. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can register my game short of downloading the patch through some third party website.

Well it appears that some of the retail customers are having problems...I have e-mailed my problem to [email protected] and got a ticket number, but nothing more.

Yes, it'll only auto-link if you have an SDC account under the same email address at the time of purchase--changing it afterwards won't fix it. You need to contact support and request an account merge of the two addresses.

The in-game serial entry is only for creating an ICO account, it does not register the game. The error message you recieved there simply means that you need to update the game.

If you are having issues with the actual registration via SDC, please contact [email protected].

We're working through the Support e-mails as fast as we can, please be patient, and if you send us another reply it will only put your ticket at the bottom of the list.

Highlander, I appreciate your response. I'm hoping that I can get registered....

That's weird. I was having problems registering the game through Stardock Central yesterday but today I decided to try again before sending an email to support and everything worked fine. I was able to register and download the patch.

Got a nice email this morning says that my access code was added to the database and everything should work fine. Can't wait to get home!

My problem is that I typed in an email address (the same one I used to register GalCiv2 and create an account for this forum), but then found out that Yahoo disabled my email account because it was inactive for a long period of time. I reactivated the email account but it erased all my old messages including the one for the registration Stardock sent me 5 minutes before. I tried to type in the same information so they would resend the email, but it says that the serial number is already being used. I tried different user names, email addresses and ways to register (website, game, multiplayer) but I run into the same wall every time.

I sent an email to Stardock support, but does anyone know another way to download the patch besides wait for them to respond?
