Where will the game be available?

Hi I have read the information about GC and it sounds very good.

I hope it will be better than MOO3 (what a bummer)!!!

I have some questiosn and I hope someone can answer them:

1) Will the game be available in The Netherlands and is the releasedate known?

2) I read something about a bonus pack. Will this come with the game or do you have to download it?

3) Is the game anything like MOO2. I liked that a lott.

Thanks.

This is what i know so far:

1) On the 26th of march you can order the game directly form stardock. They will ship it to you for $10 extra. But while the game is being shipped you can download the whole game from their website.

2)You will have to download it.

3)I dont know what the game is like since i havent played it. But one thing is for sure: GalCiv rocks!!!! ;)

If you click on the Purchase button you will find several ways to buy the game online, amongst them is Amazon (USA). I checked Amazon Germany and UK but they don't (pre) sell it (yet).

And I recommend buying Drengin Network via the Purchase page (I'm also from Holland), absolute topper and several interesting games for an incredible low price (including a downloadable beta version of Galciv, so you can start investigating the game right away :D ).

Go to www.drengin.net - click the 'Buy It!' button next to "Drengin.net ($69.95) (Includes The Corporate Machine, Stellar Frontier, GalCiv, & more)" - once you input all your credit card info, then you'll be able to download the game manager software.

The game itself is not (yet) downloadable, but if you PURCHASE a membership for Drengin net at US$ 69,95 you can DL several interesting games and the beta for Galciv. Believe me, it IS absolutely worth the money!

If I buy Drengin net I will also be able to download GC (so not omly the beta) later on???

I don't think GalCiv is available via Drengin presently though. Not even the beta. It was available previously but last night we closed that last way of getting the beta.

The beta of GalCiv is just awful compared to the final version, we don't want users to get a bad impression of the game at this late stage.

Brad

I really think the Beta was quite good. Yes, I also think the Gamma was (is?) miles better than the Beta, but to call the Beta awful, IMO, sells short all the hard work you and your development team did during the Beta.

Damn, I was gonna buy/download it today :(

Well, Frogboy, it seems I just was in time to DL a beta version. If what you say is true, and why should I NOT believe you, I'm looking forward to the final version, since I have to admit I already like playing the beta very, very much. :D

you guys are scaring me with all this Download stuff...

The game is still going to be purchasable in regular, ol' retail stores (EB, Gamestop, COMPusa, whatever) in a good old box, that has a CD-ROM that I can touch right?

Also, if the above is still true, will the 'Bonus' material be in/part of the resale unit, or will you have to Download the bonus material stuff? (ala: Landmarks in SimCity(4))

Thanks,

Is there any spezific reason behind this policy?

Amazon.de for example won´t sell this product aren´t they interessted or .....?

(I have seen that I can buy the game the 26th on the stardock site)
