antivirus interfering with game

i would like to bring to your attention on this issue...

our antivirus (eTrust EZ Antivirus) interferes with sins
some times it does not affect gameplay, but at others it slows the game down slightly to severely to even crashing computer (only happened once)
snoozing the antivirus seems to stop the porblems

not sure if its an issue on the software end or my end

i have to turn off my anti virus to play multiplayer LAN games (Kapersky 7.0), no matter how it's configured it shuts down LAN games real quick, with it off they play fine for hours...it's not unusual for anti virus to not play nice with gaming software, especially if you go online and there is packet transfer happening. As long as you don't have any other internet applications going and you know the people you are playing with, it shouldn't be a unacceptable security risk to turn off anti virus while you play.

Agreed!  :CONGRAT: 

Besides, as I've pointed out several times, this game LOVES the Windows Firewall (I host every game I host with the Windows Firewall ON, of course SINS must be "excepted"). With a properly configured router at the network "edge" the nice, simple and effective Windows Firewall on your PC (software security) the only reason I can see for running AV is to protect yourself from yourself! hehe
