{DISCONTINUED}[MOD] Extra Planetary Bonuses (by Uzii) v1.1

A simple mod to add new Planetary Bonuses

THIS MOD HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM THE DOWNLOAD PAGES AND IS NO LONGER SUPPORTED BY MYSELF

PLEASE TRY MY NEW MOD WHICH INCLUDES EVERYTHING IN THIS MOD AND MUCH, MUCH MORE:
SINS PLUS

Description
Ever wanted some different Planetary Bonuses to find on your planets? This Mod adds an extra 20 Bonuses that can be found by exploring, colonising, or simply finding a new Planet.

Comes with custom icons, but until 1.03 this requires a little input from you, and 1.07Gb of spare Hard drive space. NOTE: The mod by itself is only a few Mb, you don't have to download a 1Gb file.

README for installation included, and a bit extra, I recommend reading it even if you know where to extract it to.

Additional Information
I am open to new ideas and suggestions, constructive criticism, and ways to incorporate other bonuses not originally in the game.

This mod may not be much by itself, but if another modder or mod team want to use it just give me credit for it and let me know.

I will add to this once I've got some feedback. Any problems just post here.

Update 1.1 Changelog:
Removed the bonuses that always appeared on Asteroids. They will now act normally. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Good ideas here, but I have had to disable this mod.

Every (and I mean every) asteroid I came across had a hollow core, moons, orbital construction thingy, and war torn planet. On the map they all show completely hollow core and moons before I colonized them. After colonization, they had the orbital construction and war torn.

In 2 different games I colonized 6 asteroids (between the 2 games) and they all had that combo. There is no randomness with the asteroids.
Not all asteroids in space have a completely hollow core. ;)

And when you start off in a tight solar system and the 2 closest planets are asteroids, you are screwed. hehe

I am just having bad luck with the textures. Ok so i found sins main directory and copied the texture folder and tried to put it in there. it said it already had a textures folder so i found it and opened it up. Then i took the 2 programs from your texture folder and put them in there it said it already had those 2 so i made a back up folder with the 2 textures that came with the game and replaced them with your textures then i tried to play and it did not work please help me

Please don't make demands...his rapidshare links are working fine for such a small filesize, although I'm sure Uzii will upload it to Filefront if he wants :)

That is pretty incoherent. But I'll try to answer you.

Put my mod's folder in the 'Mods' directory. Then copy into my mods folder the entire original Textures folder FROM the main directory. Now copy the 2 files in my textures folder INTO the new textures folder in my mods folder, and REPLACE the files you are asked to. You should then have 4 folders in my mod's folder: String, GameInfo, Window, Textures. The Textures folder should contain 873 files.

I'll add a FileFront mirror now. Might I ask why you want one so badly? Many sites use Rapidshare.com, but few use Rapidshare.de.

Good to have, I'm not too sure about the colored numbers and their meaning

For example, structure build cost: (red) 30% , means 30% less? or only 30% of the regular?
Max population : (red) 20 doesn't mean just 20 population? why is it red then?
Does red just simply means less than normal? Then why is structure build rate green again?
aghhhhhh so confused with those numbers, plz DO explain

Thanks alot

Yes, this got me to begin with and its a good point m8chor. I thought red was bad, and green was good. But no. Red is a decrease, and green is an increase. Also, all values add or subtract from the original, they alone do not state anything.

So, structure build cost in green is an increase in cost, therefore a bad thing to have.
And build rate in red is a decrease, and therefore a good thing.

Max population is the original, plus or minus the number (red or green).

Hope that explains it all.

Thanks alot Uzii ^_^. i think this should be explained a bit in the main post, so that ppl are not confused. And just a dump lil question, what's "build rate" again? X_X, the rate that a structure is built? should that mean the higher the better? So an increase in build rate is better relatively to a decrease? (structure build faster)

Yes, correct. The 20% and 30% don't make a huge difference, but over time can help a planet develop quicker.

No, but please view Sins Plus 1.2a. It can be found HERE. If you like this mod, then you're going to love Sins Plus. ;)

Oh, and I will be removing this mod totally soon, it is obsolete.

Ha, thats good to hear. I recommend trying my most recent mod: Sins Plus

It has all the Bonuses in this mod, plus another 36, as well as a further 8 Planets.

This mod has now been discontinued and has been removed from the 'Downloads' page of this Website, and as a result is no longer supported by myself. I strongly advise trying the above mentioned mod.
