When will Vancouver (Canada) get more Collector's Edition..>?

When will Vancouver (Canada) get more Collector's Edition..>?

When, when, when?!

Maybe if I show up to Ironclad Games in Vancouver, they can sell me a copy. I've been to my local Futureshops and EB Games, but they all said that they've ran out and currently do not know when they'll get more of the Collector's Edition in. Any ideas? I am from North Van.

I should note that Best Buy.ca has ordered a small quantity of CEs for online sale only. They'll be available next week.

Both Future Shop and Best Buy have quantities coming in.

For some reason Take 2 was slow on filling the order - we've got 600 copies going into 131 Future Shops and 500 copies going into 40-odd Best Buys plus 50 copies of the CE going online within the next week.

I'm a bit of a fan of the game (as you might be able to tell in the interview I did with the Ironclad guys) so I've been pushing hard to get it out there. It's on the landing pages for gaming for both FS and BBY right now - in prime real estate that usually has to be paid for ;)

Any idea if any of them are going to Vancouver Futureshops or EBGames here in Canada?

This will sound supid, but when will there be copies in Ontario, London to be precise. i checked bestbuy.ca and they had no idea what i searched for. i then called them and they said that some copies have been ordered, but they have no idea when they will get them. ebgames.ca mentions it but the site is useless (sorry for any ebgames.ca admins). Walmart.ca also has never heard of the game. i really perfer not to have to download it(slow internet etc.). Could someone please help me out. :NOTSURE:

CE? When will Vancouver get any edition of this game in stores.
Funny that a game made in Van cant be purchased in Van... and sorry, not going to pay $70 for it online. I will just have to wait for it to be stocked, plus I am in Powell River so I guess I got me a long time to wait.

I live in London Ontario. They only had one copy and according the the cashier, they only get like one a week and three people ask for them daily. The cashir actually wants to complian to ironclad/stardock because of the limited copies.
i was lucky, i guess.

I'm from Toronto and I got my Collector's Edition from ebgames. It was the only copy the store had. Good luck.

More like the cashier should complain to his bosses for not being willing to pay for more copies :D

You'd think they'd learn, eventually, that SD tends to sell way more than "normal"...

Yeah, this is getting frustrating. The standard retail game is nowhere to be found here (Vancouver island), so I'm thinking it's going to be pretty unlikely to find the collector's edition locally at all. The Stardock store wants ~$70 for a boxed copy of the game shipped internationally, so that's out, and I don't want a digital copy of the game. Futureshop's sold out online, it hasn't yet arrived in any of their stores here, and I'm a few hours away from the nearest EBGames. Best Buy doesn't even have the game listed on their site, Amazon's sold out.. bleak for a game that's nearly 3 weeks out from release.

Also, has anyone seen inside the box of either Canadian edition? When Take 2 published Civilization 4 in Canada (under the 2k Games label), instead of a printed manual they included pdfs on a separate disc. I'm assuming they did this to avoid the cost of printing a second french manual for each copy, but it's a terrible solution for a game like Civ where the manual is important to have for reference when getting started. I'm really hoping they havn't done this with Sins. Can anyone confirm that it does come with an actual paper and ink book?

NO Futureshops and EBGames even heard of the game when I asked around today again.

This is getting pathetic.

Welp, finally a few futureshops in Vancouver got it. But none of them collector's editions...

Does anyone know if Futureshop actually carries Collector's Editions? I don't see it on their site.

I pre-ordered my CE on January 13th 2008

The Canada Post mailman brought my CE to my door today.

Along with a $7.55 "customs charge" , he wouldn't even let me take the package from him until I handed him the exact change (first words out of his mouth after telling me about the charge were "and I don't make change".... )  :(

Oh well I finally got it, I'm happy!

Where did you order it? Stardock?

Also, I called my EBGames today, they said they "only" way to get the game is to preorder it, since they get like 20 copies per store and they're all accounted for by someone else....

They also said that they don't carry Collector's Editions.

WTF?

Does ANYONE in Vancouver buy Collector's Edition that didnt order it online?
