GalCiv gone gold? YAY! WOO HOO!

Congrats to the development team, etc.

(And that download is pretty funny, too.)

23 days until it's on the shelves.

I whish it was on the shelves worldwide at that date.

Any news about the schedule for the rest of the world? Found any distributor, or is it going to be Infogrames there too?

I'm not really privy to that info yet. We're handing over the text files to Strategy First tomorrow for translation.

Lot of files though to translate.

English.str
*.tech
*.imp
*.event
*.anomaly
*.ship
*.upissue

Translating that to another language is what constitutes a localized version. ;)

Lol, I'd settle for the english version. It's only the retail box I'm after. Need something to put on the shelf at home, and to show friends :)

btw, congrats on the gold-day. I look forward to read the user responces on the release date.

I hate having games in my native language (swedish) I prefere english versions... The ones making the translation always manage to make it sound... dorky..

Does Stardock make more money off of purchases made directly from Stardock, as compared to those through the retail outlets listed in your Purchases page?

If so, is it possible to pre-order direct from Stardock?

One good thing about the way GalCiv is set up is that if you don't like how Strategy First translated the game, you can always retranslate it yourself and submit it to the Library.
