Could we have the option of furthur playing the game after we win?

I sometimes like to play turn based games even after I win. Sorta like how Civilization 3 does. Could we be given the option of playing furthur into the game even though we have either gotten the alliance or control a certain amount of the galaxy or whatever?

I always quit playing these kinds of strategy games BEFORE I win or lose. Once I see where things are going, I usually just call it quits, content that I could have whooped the aliens' behinds if I so chose.

I have to agree. I didn't use the feature that often, but I liked that it was there.

I just finished a game where I was about to win culturally but didn't want to so I demolished a few starbases, and a couple dozen turns later I won culturally anyways... sigh.

Annoying when you are on the verge of accomplishing something else.

Fun, but... bump.

E-Tigger, the last time I decided victory was in the bag, the Altairians came around and smashed up my fleet, stole my planets, and blew up my starbases.

I was about to finish building my 1st Terror Star when the game suddendly ended. Cultural domination victory! Great but really sad too. I wish I could have kept on playing to have some fun destroying the whole galaxy. (:(
