Question about winning conditions

In the player setup screen where you choose which winning conditions are enabled, there is one that is not listed in the manual: "Alien Tech Victory".

Could someone explain that one to me?

When the aliens get the last tech first they win.

I always have this option disabled and thus never had this happen. (I guess it would never happen when the option is enabled as well LOL )

I don't know how much it influences the strategies of the AI. Does anybody know? Maybe I should give it a try. :notsure:

Well, "Alien tech victory" means that if aliens find the final frontier tech before your, you won't be able to end the game with a tech victory. But it isn't the end of the game: you can still win with other conditions.
