Couple of UI Suggestions

I've been playing for awhile now. Great game. However, in my opinion, improving the UI in the following ways would greatly improve the game experience:

1) The ability to bring up info on technology while in the Diplomacy screen (by right-clicking on the tech?). I know that others have made similar suggestions. Just thought that I'd add my vote.

2) The ability to bring up info on the planet improvements while in the governor's screen by pointing at the improvement and right clicking (or somesuch). This would help me to prioritize the build list.

3) I like the tactical map option that's available when the Planet List is open. I also like to use this map option when I've opened the Ship List, but the only way I've found to do this is by opening the Planet List, picking the Tactical Map option and then opening the Ship List. It would be nice if I had an option to choose the Tactical Map directly from the Ship List. It would be even better if the Tactical/Normal map option was 'sticky' (i.e., uses the last chosen map option whenever Planet/Ship List is opened).

Aha! I've found a partial answer to #3. 'F9' brings up the tactical map. This little gem was buried in some post here somewhere. It's not 'sticky', but it goes a long ways towards solving this issue.
Now then, between the Domestic Policy screen and this Tactical map screen, both of which I access A LOT, I'm wearing my hand out! Has there been any discussions about re-mapping hotkeys? Is there already some way to do this? C'mon, give us GalCiv addicts some relief! :p I don't want to go to a doctor and explain that I managed to acquire Carpal Tunnel Syndrome via playing a computer game 80 hours a week!
