The reason we have a European Alliance Empire because we have a similar thing in real life. Most of the countries in Europe are already allied with each other through the European Union. In a couple of years 5 more countries will join.

Look, the Whole World is in AWE of Europe and European resolve. In particular, here at Galciv you've translated that into a formidable Empire. Granted.

But, most of us poor non-Europeans (:( would just encourage all of you stalwart "Europeans" (and hey, that is something to be Proud of) to form other Empires which will BETTER reflect your very obviously diverse and proud National traditions. You could then be a big fish in a little pond. Just like that new Finnish Empire. Just like Belgium's proud history of being regularly subjugated. Finally, as someone once pointed out: think "eternal damnation" when people and poodles lie down together.

It seems there is some movement in getting the game in shops in Europe. Several weeks ago I contacted an outlet in Amsterdam, Netheralnds, about the game, said how great it was and adviced them to see if they could import it. Now on their site it is stated the game is available May 31, 2003 or later. Christopher, that would be gr8 for you guys. Run it by your empire bosses. My guys would say no however. They are fond of our name and our empire. I owe it to them to stay true to it. But I think it would be gr8 for you guys. And the British playing these games seem content to submit themselves to other's will. So I don't think you'd get much help from them.

We Southern Hemisphereans really look up to the Northern Hemisphere and especially the homeland as many of us still refer to Mother England. Gosh, we still have a European monarch. I want to know what happened to that Bulldog spirit, that spirit epitomized by their cricket team, their soccer team, their swimmers... Doh.

This is the thing: I really wish we could have our own website, but, right now, I feel we should keep the forum in this thread. Why? For two main reasons:

1- It really is a source of comic relief. When you read a guy from the midwestern whatsoever saying that Belgium has no culture nor soul you can only embark on hysterical laughter.

2- I think this people are starting to get an idea of what Europe is really about. While we hear gross statements on the nature of our alliance, people all around the world should know that we are about a lot more than a united currency and some common institutions. We come from the continent that has shaped world history, for the better and for the worse, that has been torned apart by major wars, who have now decided to come together. All of this should not be done in secret - let the world read about how swedes, for example, benefit from the efforts that have been made to unite the continent, let the world realise that we are as proud to be french, italian or whatever as being europeans. Because I am. Let them think, if they want, in conspiracy theories, let the scores, and our forum, do the talk.
