Sadness and Joy,
two different emotions,
To me they seem,
like two separate oceans.
There always has been,
an island between.
When the island is gone,
what can it mean?
Waters rush in,
to fill the hole,
Waves crash,
and billows roll.
The oceans drawn together,
by an unknown force.
Nothing to do,
but let nature take its course.
When the waters mix,
in awesome array,
What will happen,
no one can say.
Sadness now Joy,
and Joy now Sadness,
What was once different,
is now one and the same.
