Sins of a solar empire? does it exist?

i know this game title is not well known but at lease the publishers should make it known. I recently stumbled into one of ign's most anticipated list and saw this game. My first impressions were "massive space battles in RTS thats awesome" then i checked out the website and found that it was released on the 4th of march and now its 18th of march. so i went down to my local games wizard or Game in australia and whats this they don't have it and don't know when it's coming out. then i checked the web site of EBgames and games wizards and to my surprise the game wasn;t even on the site as if it dosen't exist. And from a few minute of reading this forums, i have gathered the its only released in the US and Canada? and the rest of the world can't get it without downloading? this is one great marketing decision.

Lots of smaller stuff doesn't get released in Australia, or comes out months after the Civilised World. Welcome to earth. We're not a big enough market to bust a gut over, especially for a small company, the costs are just too great for too little return. Stardock is an excellent way to buy it, IMO. Especially being in Australia - you should know they mark up our games to a stupid degree anyway. I got the Orange Box through Steam recently - it was US$50 - so that's about Aus$55. At EB it was Aus$100. That's just bloody criminal. Download games. It's the way of the future.

Hi Raider,

I preordered the game and on release day it took about 15min to download it so it was no problem at all(im in Perth). I also have a boxed copy on its way to me form SD. This is a great game you really should get hold of it mate now that you know about it :CONGRAT: .

o.0 http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&q=%22the+way+of+the+future%22&btnG=Search&meta= "the way of the future", 559,000 google hits. It's a comical phrase, perhaps, but not an uncommon term.

I think we were referring more to the part where the OP is saying it's now March 18th.

The game won't be to retail in Aus/NZ until April (it's being published there by Auran). Having it not appear in EB's system until closer is pretty typical.

Any local advertising there would be up to Auran. In North America we've had a number of two-page magazine ads in GFW Magazine and others, Best Buy's weekly flyer, mentions on Penny-Arcade, etc.
