I keep losing to ships

from Sins Forums
This is an outrage.  Why should I lose to an opponent who has more ships, or better combination?  Flaks are way overpowered to fighters; Capital ships are way overpowered to most other ships.

That isn't right.  I should be able to use no brain power, and little strategy to win.  This game is not fun when planning is rewarded. 

So please; remove all ships in this game, as it seems that you need a combination of them to win in this game.

The best overall strategy Ive found so far is lunching dozens of monkeys with sticks into space, when ships float near the monkeys, the monkey hit them with there sticks thus neutralizing the offending ship.

would this be before or after the monkeys throw there poo all over the view ports and cameras?

ok this was worth a good laugh but seriously if you lost your old way to win its time to come up with a new one

Space ponies are carnivores so it's unlikely those space monkeys will last long. :) If you want a truly balanced game, then every ship will need to spew paintballs, care bears, and war-kittens. Conquest will be won by the empire that maxes out their credit limit first with war-kittens in order to save the economy from almost inevitable doom from mortgage spam, all whilst avoiding upsetting enemies by sharing care bears and shooting paintballs because we only want to simulate real combat. What's in your fleet?

In other news, someone took my parking spot yesterday. It was some moron in a light blue Prius. Where does this idiot think he/she is parking--a public parking garage?! This is against company policy and all Prius cars should now be banned from the parking lot. My overpowered SUV will promptly push that Prius out of the way if it happens again on Monday...unless this idiot backs in. Then I'll likely flatten the Prius instead of push it. It's my parking spot! My name is on it!

Anyway, I was playing a game yesterday vs some advent, and the bastards phase jumped! Seriously, if you're going to be an a$$hole and not stay in realspace like a decent human being, you obviously are a horrible person.

I was in a newbie on-line match last night - I will post the replay in another thread. Anyway I beat my opponent and I am ashamed to say Ships were involved. I agree this part of the game seems overpowered!

I agree,
As primarily a TEC/Advent/Vasari player I admit that I have used ships or combination's of ships to win games sometimes. I want to be able to play the race I like without feeling like a ship-building cheater.

Suggestions for the patch:
~Eliminate the colonization of planets and subsequent ship building activity.
~Remove the option to start a game, Thus avoiding the possibility of loosing.
~Give non-TEC/Advent/Vasari players some sort of option to counter ships.
~Nerf RA

Silly Humans... I have found the path to true victory! I start the game, and at the moment it looks like I am doomed...(usually about 5 minutes in...) I quickly push the all powerful "on-off" button on my computer box thingy... NO ONE KNOWS whether I have won or lost. I can claim anything I wish... Then I rush into the other room where I unpause the DVD and watch Battlestar Galactica... Vistory IS MINE! And the popcorn too. The popcorn is mine! HA HA HAH HAH HAHAHAHAHH AHAHH ACK...UMPH popcorn down the wrong pipe... ACK! Cough... beep(9) beep(1) Beep(1).... "911, what's your emergency?"
