Magtheman please PM me your serial number. I can decode it from this end and find out what the trouble is.

I just got my copy of Sins, and I've run into registration problems as well. I'm trying to register it so that I can update the game, and when I try to register my serial it doesn't give any confirmation or errors. It just reloads the same page with the serial number field still filled in and my account doesn't show me as having Sins registered.

Any help? I love the game and have recommended it to all my friends, and I hate to see something so great be marred by something so small.

EDIT: I also entered my Sins serial number when I signed up for an account, and had a problem of my preferred account name already being taken the first time, if that makes any difference. Hopefully I didn't stumble on a glitch that registered my Sins key with the other person's account when I tried to sign up the first time.

I have the same problem with my account as in #32 above,

when I try to upate the game it says that my copy is not registered but after I put in the serial number it just goes back to the enter serial number screen.

Is this some kind of cookie problem?

Same exact problem here. Just bought it today from Circuit City - sealed to a T - registration page just reloads when you click register.

I have the same problem as #32 and #33 above. I can't download any game updates.

If I make a typo in the SN on purpose, I get an "invalid serial" error.

But when I type it in correctly, it goes back to the enter serial number screen with my serial in the textbox and no errors.

Any ideas?

Same problem here with one I just bought at Target today. Factory sealed. Just keeps going back to the same "enter SN" screen with no other messages. Looks like a server problem with all the June 9ths on the board. Gotta say, this isn't the foot I wanted to start off on. I hope the game turns out being cool and knocks this bitter taste out of my mouth.

Yep, the server's screwing with us. I get reloaded to the same page. I've tried it in IE and Firefox to no avail, as well as with different cookie settings, and finally tested with an incorrect password (got an error).

Im having the same problem - - and yes, I'm putting in the dashes. Good lord, I hope the people who coded the game are more skilled than whoever is in charge of this registration mess. Not like registering software is 'new art' or anything.

I will e-mail technical support as instructed. I don't expect to wait days for the reply, though.

C'mon, folks, pull it together.

You don't need to register it to check out Ironclad's programming skill - there's no copy protection, so you can just play some single player.

To be honest it's not perfect, but it's a great game. Interested to see what the patches improve though.

Ideally some greater assymetry would be cool.

Just bought the game... Same problem as #32 and most others here. Tried emailing [email protected] but didn't even get an auto-reply. Any assistance would be great.

The website is a bit slow so I wouldn't be surprised if there were server problems.

Hi there I just got my game today, and I am trying to register to get the update, however it reloads the serial page that #32 has explained previously... If a mod can help me in the right direction of what to do that would be swell. :)

Had the same problem as #32, but I tried to register through Stardock Central and that seemed to work fine. As a side note, I told Stardock Central to send me the serial numbers for the games I had and even though I had only tried the online registration with it returning me to the same screen as though nothing happened, the email contained the correct serial number for my copy of Sins, so somehow they got it.

Thanks Jedifan. I installed Stardock Central from https://www.stardock.com/products/sdcentral/ , fired it up, went to "my Games" and entered a key from the right-click menu on the Sins. The registration worked and it updated. Now if I go to the same link that didn't work before, everything is fine. So it does work to just go the Stardock Central route rather than following the in-game path you are led on if you encounter a dead end.

why the hell cant you just download a patch like virtually every other game in the universe

Its suppose to be easy and just a cople of mouse clicks :(

@ walzdragon

It is easy and just a couple of mouse-clicks (after registration). Would you prefer the DRM-infested approach of other devs to this:

1. Register

2. (in-game) MAIN MENU >> UPDATE

Easy enough.....I'd say.
