So I downloaded the game off of this site and last night I booted it up after it finished to make sure everything worked all right. Everything was fine except I could not see any of the text in any of the menus. So I rebooted it hoping that it just loaded weird but this time everything worked out all right. But today, when I wanted to paly the game, again there was no text, even after multiple reboots. I installed the latest video card drivers (I might have already had the newest) and checked to make sure I have the newest version of DirectX 9, which I think I do.

I am running this on a laptop with a NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT video card and DirectX 9.0c build 4.09.0000.0904. I can run basically any other game on my laptop with no problem, so I don't know what the problem could be.
