so, you sent them an e-mail and they asked you for your name, password, and the serial number on the box? that doesn't seem unreasonable to me.. I guess you know better than them how to solve it tho with your anger and insults rather than information and cooperation..

P.S. They don't just send you a "new code". To make things go faster send them an e-mail that contains pictures of the original box, cd, and serial number if you have the retail version.

First, Support I did not mean to make a separate posting under the title "this must happen to all the cool kids..."

I, too, am having the same registration issues as the proceeding members. But, before I am told to contact Support, I have already. The first messages were a little hot-headed I am sorry for that. The final email was a description of the steps I tried and piles of other info including pictures and such. I would like an update please on the current situation (it has been almost six days) and I listen to my friends playing online every night and I am getting disappointed. This game is truly a wonder. Please help me enjoy the rest of it.

Sir Knight, I looked up your account email address and found no ticket listed to it. Did you send it in under another email address? If you prefer you can PM me with it.

On a side note there is no copy protection.  You can get 1.3 through normal means. With out the serial number online play or content updates would be disabled though. I would be happy to help you fix whatever troubles you are still having.

Please be aware that if an auto response is not sent to your email when you create a support ticket then we did not receive the email.

Responce time is up to 48hrs soceur.

Nahaloth  - I looked up your email upon seeing this forum post. This serial number was purchased back on Feb 8th of this year and registered. I would highly recommend returning to the retail center you purchased this game from and ask for an exchange. You can use this email as verification of your claim if you so choose. Since the serial number is part of the cost due to the fact it gains you access to downloadable content and online play you should be eligible for an exchange for a new copy if you have paid full price. If you have any further questions please let me know here.

The email responce I sent says the same but I thought to post it here as well incase you might have read this first. It is not totally uncomon for mistakes like this in large retail outlets like Walmart. It does happen on occasion. Generally it seems that it is because some one mistakenly reshelved a return or exchange.

If you are getting the invalid serial number we will need you to email us at [email protected]. If you might have purchased a used copy of the software please know that according to the ULA of the game it was illegal for the seller to actually sell the game used.

However if you belive you have purchased a new title we will evaluate each situation and do as best for you as we can.

No matter what with out copy right protection you can always install and play the game while you wait for us to sort out the serial number problem.

How the hell do you even register this game?  I can't even find a link to anyplace to register it.

 

On the impulse website? I don't have impulse installed (I have to get on the net at the library, where I can't install anything).  Can I register it without having impulse installed? I can't find anything on the website other than to buy games. Thanks for the reply, BTW.
