I'm looking for something epic

I love this game, and find myself playing waaay into the night every night, but I've been wondering if there are any mods that could give me more. More ship combat, more lasers, more explosions, all that good stuff.

The only thing I'm really worried about is stability with the mod(s) running, and would like for them to be pretty much bug free.

So, would y'all mind helping me out by giving me any hints on which mods to download?

There aren't any bugs that I've seen yet, but it's still a WiP in terms of absolute balance.

I don't think there are any mods yet. Its been only 2-3 weeks and good quality mods take time and testing to make. I would wait 2-3 months at least before looking for mods

I disagree, what he's requested is primarily (actually all of it) found in the editable .entity files. There are mods that have been released (*cough*)!

Now, large scale mods like the Star Wars/BS:G mods are going to take much longer than 2-3 months, while the first replacer/additions for models in such we will probably see in 2-3 months perhaps.

I may fiddle around with some of the basics myself, but after thinking about just what I wanted for a while, I guess I just want something that makes the game much more grand.

I've always been a fan of huge fleets, with the massive broadside attack, hundreds of laser beams and missiles streaking around. I want to say something more realistic, but in a space game, how realistic can one really get.

Thanks for all the fast responses, and I guess y'all might be right on waiting just a bit longer for some good ones to come out. Hopefully it'll be sooner than later.
