login problems

recently I bought a copy of Sins of A Solar Empire from Gamestop, unopened, and after installing it promptly updated it before doing anything. afterwards I went to this website and created an account using my serial key. After activating it I waited about 2 hours before trying to login to Ironclad Online. When I entered my account name and password, it stated that the account does not exist, and when I tried to create an account in the game using the create account button, it stated that my serial key is already in use. I have looked a little and see no solution to this problem, as it states in the manual that I need to enter my account in the manage account section of ironclade online, only problem is, that button isn't there. so if anyone can help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

I also am having this problem, though when I try to create a new account I get the error message "wrong version of ironclad online detected" which has me scratching my head. If anybody could help would be greatly appreciated.

yes wind wolf... mine is saying the same thing... it says " wrong version of ironclad online detected... i don't know what to do to resolve this problem

"wrong version of ironclad online detected"


Means you need to update your game to the latest version. 1.02 is available via the Updates button in the game.

The account you create for the forums and for registering/updating the game is separate from the ICO account system. If you cannot create an ICO account, contact [email protected] with your cd key and they'll be able to help.

Thanks downloaded the update and its letting me get online, though now there's some issue with my firewall. Oh well I'll figure that out, thanks again for the help.

Yep, I had that problem. I thought I had signed up when I bought the game, so when I tried to sign in to Stardock Central it said my nickname was chosen. Of course, I hadn't signed up and chosen a nickname. Clicking 'create new account' solved that

i am also having this problem, except the thing is, i have updated my game to v1.03. i was also able to play an hour ago, which is weird. now it keeps giving me the 'wrong version of ironclad online' message. any help is appreciated.
