Need more in game info

I downloaded the game from star gate. What I need is more information about in game content.

For instance I colonized an asteroid that was porous. What is the benefit or handicap of that? I keep running into things like this every time I play. How do the different sun types affect the game?

Can someone help me find this information? Its not stopping me from playing, but its really bugging me I dont have the answers lol

Thanks all

The Porous core shrinks the gravity well around the asteroid (the blueish cloud/sphere around the planet)

Not sure if the sun types do anything other than look pretty

The infocards are generally pretty informative. When you have a planet bonus, below the name of it will be its effect, in this case it would read something like Gravity Well 33% (in red) meaning decreased (green means increased).

Also all the planet types and "special" celestial bodies (magnetic clouds, storms, suns, gas giants, etc) can be selected and they have a passive ability button that shows what they do.

For your question, different sun types don't do anything different from each other other than look pretty. But all of them increase antimatter recharge rates in their grav wells. ;)

LOl glad someone could read what I meant and not what I typed lol

Thanks for the help, what I didn't put in my post is that Id like to be able to learn some of this info before I'm elbows deep into a game. That's the main reason I was looking for a help file or a manual that I could down load.
Maybe its something that will come out in a later update.

The manual is in your Sins install folder, called manual.pdf :)

Thank you Annater11, I finally found the folder lol. I have to go into stardock and right click the SoSE installed folder. Then hit the open folder to find the manual.pdf.

Here is a real noob question. why did that folder not show up in my (program files/stardock/sins of a solar empire)folder? all i have in there is the .exe for the game. Well that's all i can see anyway, dont know if the .pdf file is hidden in that same folder or not. sorry about such a noob question. I have not bought any other game online like this so I dont know if this is normal or not.
I like having the dvd for what ever programs I own. I just feel more secure if I have a hard copy of the game vs. just a down loaded file.

Thanks again for your help :)

I'm not sure what you're asking about - I know the installer doesn't create shortcut links for the manual and such, but what's this about a hard copy?

If you want to burn the game on a dvd for a backup, you can right click on it on SDC and archive it, then burn the archive and the SDC installer (you'll need that to extract it) on a DVD and you'll have your physical backup.

From what I remember, the archives are saved in the Stardock Central install path/Backup
