A pretty cool reference

One my the Desert planets i control found something interesting.  Spice!! yes delicious spice!! gives 10% to culture and 15% to trade (i think).  Isn't that a dune reference, or just a coincidence?

Oh, that's most assuredly a Dune reference. I don't see how it couldn't be. Was the planet perchance name Arrakis? lol

The Fraiser brothers are big dune fans, so it wouldn't surprise me.

doesn't every space genre have a "spice" reference? Dune obviously, or the Spice Mines on Kessel for SW.

Spice = code for Space Crack.

Oh yeah we do. the last RTS one was emperor wasn't it? Just before EA ate Westwood. Well with Red Alert 3 on the way, perchance EA will contact Frank Herbert's family/estate and see if they are willing for a new one. I remember playing Emperor and loved it. A lot like Dune 2 where you picked where you attacked and they had alot of acting talent for the leaders. Micheal Dorn as Duke Atreides and Mike McShane as Baron Harkonnen we're great in the intro.

And the Vasari running for 10k years from an unknown or rather forgotten enemy wasn't another subtle hint? I'm telling you Erasmus and Omni will be in an expansion pack. Or rather Synchrony will be. TEC= regular people in dune universe/Advent = a cross between the Bene Gesserit and Honored Matres/ Vasari= back story similear to Honored Matres appearance is created but seems to borrow from the Tleixlu. Also the Advent are similear to the Laxu as well.

I hope if Sins does nothing else that maybe the creator's of this game will at least get contacted and offered to make some dune rts's. I would like one set in the prequel universe, one like dune 2 and then one set in the new universe. (although ididn't like the last 2 books it still could make an interesting PC game)

So who's building the Dune MOD?:)
