Lost Fleet series

Has anyone heard of the Lost Fleet series by Jack Campbell (real name John Hemry). If any one has I am interested in finding out if anyone is making a mod basted of this series. It’s a great series and I am really hoping that there is a mod out there somewhere.

PS if you haven’t read these books, then go read them. It has the best descriptions of spaceship combat I have ever read

Love his lost fleet books, each book only took me a day to read it. Can't wait for the forth book to come out....

but back to the question; no, I have not heard of any mod being made on this. I suppose not very many people know about the series compared to say star trek and star wars.

That'd certainly be interesting if someone were to make a mod based on that series, as the fleet battles in that book are awesome! I'm wondering though, we really have no idea what the ships look like, and how are we going to faithfully bring the combat from the book into the game? A lot of the battles in the books deal with effects of fighting from extreme distances where the time it takes light to travel becomes an issue.

I really DID love the books. However, there is no real way to simulate the delay of control so deeply entwined with the series.
