This mod Contain "Volumetric Explosions&Damage Effects ver. 1.13 " by ManSh00ter

Warning - This mod didn`t trough entensive test so may have some serious bugs. When you find some please inform me.

0. Fix
   1. Fix TEC light frigate`s weapon travel speed (600 -> 6000)

1. How to install MOD
   1. Update your Entrenchment ver to 1.02 first
   2. Start Entrenchment
   3. Go option -> mods -> show modpath to confirm your mods folder.
   4. Quit Entrenchment
   5. Put "bkg_Entrenchment_v1.02_1" folder into your Entrenchment mods folder.
      ex) C:\Documents and Settings\youraccountnamemayhere\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods-Entrenchment v1.02\bkg_Entrenchment_v1.02_1   <- this folder should contain 6 folders(GameInfo, Mesh, Particle, PipelineEffect, TextureAnimations, Textures) and 6 manifest files(brush, entity, galaxy, playerPictures, playerThemes, skybox)
   6. Start Entrenchment
   7. Go option -> mods -> enable mod to activate mod.
   8. enjoy mod.

2. Changes - Visual
   1. Enhanced every weapon effects.
   2. Enhanced and added most ability effects.
   3  Add new mine explosion effect for each mines.
   3. Enhanced some explosion effects and Implented with ManSh00ter`s Volumetric Explosions&Damage Effects ver. 1.13
   4. Enhanced and optimized other various effects.
   5. Heavy Crusiers length extended.
   6. Phase Gate now stand up and rotate and bigger .
   7. Weapon Jamming Module downsized.
   8. Optimized TEC Fighter mesh.
   9. Pirate Gauss defense`s weapon changed to autocannon (only visual)

3. Changes - Gameplay
   1. None
   2. Still if you remove GameInfo folder, You`ll lost every enhanced beam effect and ability effects.
  
4. Fixes from vanilla SOASE Entrenchment ver 1.02
   1. Fix some improper weapon points.
   2. Fix persistence passive effects disappearing when load saved game.
   3. Fix Advent starbase`s Meteor planet ability didn`t work collectly at level 2 (Has 0 ranges).

Also, bailknight, if you get a chance I wouldn't mind hearing what about Particle Forge is more helpful. I don't mod, so perhaps I won't understand it all, but it'd be nice knowing what's making your job any easier.

You can see result in particle forge directly instead of running game every time when you change small values.

fix some value in particles -> start game ->( setting situation for test -> save ->) load -> check effect -> turn off -> fix some value in particles -> start game again consume really huge time usually.

Yikes. Didn't realize you had to go through all that previously. Sure will make tweaking the little stuff more enjoyable I guess, not having to do the save/load dance every few minutes.

Hey, bailknight - just checking if you have an ETA for the next release? I know how much work it is to do a good mod, even with tools like ParticleForge, and wanted to know if work is still in progress.

I`m still working on my mod almost every day but progress is slow beacuse I have no free time now(1 or 2 hours per a day), and I want rework every TEC and Advent effect I made before(by notepad)for ver 1.3 because they could be better With particle forge.
So I can`t say exacy ETA.. maybe end of this month(hopefully ;) )

At first I would like to thank you Bailknight for your absolutly fantastic work!

But there is just one thing I really don´t understand about your mod.
Why are you so bullish about releasing a version without any change in the actual Gameplay? Most fans of your Mod use it because of the enhanced Graphics.
Why don´t you just release two Versions? One with the gameplay changes and a Version without them?

I almost read the whole thread and the only thing I clearly know is that the capital ship explosions are a bit arkward if I´m just using the mesh and particle folder of your Mod.

So I have some questions to you:

1. What effects am I exactly losing when I just use the particles and mesh folders?
2. I dislike your Marza Mesh (but I love your Kodiac though ;)) so I replaced it with the original one, what else do I lose here from your awesome mod?
3. What exactly is in the textures folder?

Anyway I really want to thank your for your work. It´s absolutly stunning and this is the way sins is ment to be!

Many things. Mostly linked with abilities and explosions.






And I have a good news... Ver 1.3 is almost finished. If test play give no major issue It will be released in this weekend.

Because Youtube drop video quality too much and VERY Slow to upload (in my location at least)
I`m trying to upload at youtube now but It`ll take some time.

I never think about gametrailer. I`ll check later.
